Olmo granted temporary permission to play for Barcelona

Barcelona has been granted provisional permission by the Spanish National Sports Council (CSD) to register summer signings Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.

This decision comes after the club appealed the Spanish Football Federation (RFF) and La Liga’s rejection of their registration request on Saturday.

The registration issue arose due to Barcelona’s inability to meet La Liga’s wage cap restrictions. As a result, Olmo and Victor were only registered for the first half of the season.

However, the CSD’s intervention has provided temporary relief, allowing the players to participate in upcoming matches.

The provisional approval enables Olmo, 26, and Victor, 23, to play for Barcelona until the CSD delivers a definitive ruling on the club’s case against La Liga and the RFF.

La Liga has been informed of the CSD’s resolution and is awaiting further clarification on the details.
