Referee Stuart Attwell made history by announcing a VAR decision over the stadium’s public address system, a first in England.
Attwell’s announcement came after Dominic Solanke’s late goal for Spurs was ruled out for offside. “After a review, Dominic Solanke was in an offside position,” he declared over the PA system.
Despite the disallowed goal, Tottenham went on to secure a 1-0 victory in the first-leg tie, thanks to Lucas Bergvall’s 86th-minute winner.
