2025 AFCON Draw Set For Rabat, Morocco

The final draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will take place in Rabat, Morocco, on January 27. The draw will determine the group stage opponents for the 24 competing teams.

The 24 teams will be divided into six groups of four teams each. The top two teams in each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the Round of 16.

In addition to the draw, participating countries will have the opportunity to inspect match venues, training facilities, and hotel infrastructure in Morocco ahead of the competition. The 2025 AFCON is scheduled to take place from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

Defending champions Côte d’Ivoire will be looking to retain their title in the biennial tournament. The draw in Rabat will set the stage for an exciting competition, with the best teams in Africa vying for the coveted AFCON title.
