Manchester City have completed the signing of Nico Gonzalez from Porto on a four-and-a-half-year deal. The 23-year-old joins the Premier League Champions until 2029, becoming manager Pep Guardiola’s fourth signing in the winter transfer window.
Gonzalez’s arrival follows the signings of Abdukodir Khusanov, Vitor Reis, and Omar Marmoush. The Argentine midfielder is expected to bolster City’s squad as they push for more silverware.
In a separate development, Manchester City have confirmed that Jacob Wright has joined Norwich City on loan until the end of the 2024/25 season. The 19-year-old has made four senior appearances for City in the past two seasons and will continue his development at Carrow Road.
Manchester City have wished Wright well for the remainder of the season, as he gains valuable experience on loan at Norwich City.
