NFF Set To Secure Luxurious Abuja Apartment for Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is finalizing plans to acquire a high-end apartment in Abuja for Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle. The move aims to provide the 47-year-old tactician with a comfortable living and working environment as he prepares the team for the crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.

Chelle, who is currently in Europe meeting with key Super Eagles players, is expected to return to Nigeria before the end of the month. Upon his arrival, he will personally select the apartment that best suits his preferences, ensuring a seamless transition into his new role.

Unlike previous foreign coaches, Gernot Rohr and Jose Peseiro, who stayed in hotels during their tenures, the NFF has opted for a more permanent solution for Chelle. The decision reflects the federation’s commitment to creating a stable and professional atmosphere for the team’s technical crew.

This strategic move underscores the NFF’s determination to secure success in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, with Chelle set to lead the Super Eagles from a home base in Abuja. The choice of a residential apartment over a hotel stay highlights the federation’s focus on long-term planning and support for the team’s leadership.
