The 2025 edition of the Dreams Basketball Tournament has come to a thrilling conclusion, with Showtyme Hoopers emerging as champions for the second year running.
Showtyme Hoopers dominated University of Ibadan, winning 87-75 in the final match. This victory marks a significant milestone for Showtyme Hoopers, who had also emerged champions in the 2024 edition, dominating Hoop Dreams 74-49.

The final day of the tournament was filled with exciting matches. In the 3rd place match, Ebun Comets took the bronze medal after beating Deep Bond 61-54. The female exhibition game was also a highlight, with Rising Stars Angels dominating Dodan Warriors 49-32 to take home the win.

Showtyme Hoopers’ victory in the final was a culmination of their hard work and determination throughout the tournament. They had previously outlasted Ebun Comets 78-71 in the semi-finals, demonstrating their composure and skill under pressure.
As champions, Showtyme Hoopers took home a cash prize of N1 million, a testament to the tournament’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding talent. Sunday Victor, Showtyme’s star player, was named the MVP of the Dreams Basketball Tournament 2025 Edition, a well-deserved recognition of his exceptional skill and dedication to the sport.
