Amorim Slams Man Utd Players After 2-2 Draw With Spurs: “We Got Too Comfortable!”

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim wasn’t happy after his side’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham on Saturday, admitting his players “lost intensity” and failed to press with purpose.

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for United, but Spurs hit back late through Mathys Tel and Richarlison. Defender Matthijs De Ligt then salvaged a point with a powerful header.

Amorim said United “should have killed the game” after leading, blaming complacency and injuries to Harry Maguire and Casemiro for the dropped points.

“We felt comfortable when we shouldn’t have. If we had more bravery, we’d have won,” he said.

United stay unbeaten, but Amorim insists “there’s still a lot to improve.”
