SOCCER fireworks light up Olubadan Stadium on Valentine’s Day Star fixture as VIA Academy tackles De Pride FC in the 88th edition of the Ibadan Football Council (IFC) LEAGUE.
VIA FA, which finished third in the last edition of the League, are up against familiar foes in De Pride FC.
Revenge would be on De Pride’s mind on Friday as it lost narrowly by 3-4 to VIA in a tension soaked match last season. However, De Pride’s playmaker, Chinedu Okafor, recorded a fascinating hat-trick against highly rated VIA.
VIA has been consistent for about three seasons, finishing second ,third, and last season ended fourth on the table.
De Pride, on the other hand, barely survived relegation waters as it ended 15th on the League table.
The match comes up at 4 pm.
Earlier at 2 p.m., it would be a clash of two newbies as Dragon Fury FC engages Zamora’s FC Peridot.
