FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Eric Chelle makes last minute changes to Super Eagles World Cup Qualifiers’ Squad

Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Chelle has effected two last minute changes to the squad invited to feature in the last legs of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers scheduley to hold later this week.

Zaidu Sanusi (FC Porto) replaces Bright Osayi-Samuel, while Christantus Uche (Crystal Palace) replaces Cyriel Dessers, following reports of injuries.

The Eagles are billed to take on Lesotho at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in South Africa on Friday 10th October, while they return to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo for their last of the qualifiers against the Republic of Benin on Tuesday 14th October.

The two games are must win for the Super Eagles to boost their chance of qualifying for the World Cup as their destiny still lies in the hands of their opponents, especially South Africa and Benin Republic.
