Liverpool boss Arne Slot has admitted his team couldn’t cope with Manchester City’s tactical setup during their heavy 3–0 defeat at the Etihad.
City dominated early, with goals from Erling Haaland and Nico Gonzalez before Jeremy Doku sealed the win in the second half.
Slot told BBC MOTD that his side “struggled with the number of players City brought between the lines” and that being two goals down at halftime “was a fair reflection” of the first half.
He, however, disagreed with the decision to disallow Virgil van Dijk’s goal, calling it “a clear goal” and pointing to a similar one City scored against Wolves last season.
