The Ex-Ibadan Professional Footballers Association (EIPFA) has officially confirmed Wednesday, February 25 and Thursday, February 26, 2026, as the dates for its flagship Statewide Secondary School Scouting Program.
The grassroots football development initiative is implemented in partnership with the Oyo State Government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education.
The scouting program will involve 80 secondary schools drawn from 10 zones in Oyo State, with eight schools per zone.
The structured format will deliver four games per day in each zone, eight games per zone over two days, and a cumulative total of 80 matches statewide, ensuring broad-based participation and effective talent identification.
At the conclusion of the zonal phase, outstanding players selected from all zones will advance to the final phase, scheduled to hold in Ibadan in March 2026, where all shortlisted players will report for advanced technical assessment, elite coaching sessions, and final selection.
The Ibadan final phase will be coordinated by EIPFA’s technical committee—comprising former international players, seasoned coaches, and certified scouts—working closely with relevant government stakeholders to ensure professionalism, transparency, and alignment with state youth development objectives.
