The Ex-Ibadan Professional Football Association (EIPFA) is pleased to announce that the grand finale of the EIPFA Statewide Secondary School Games will take place on Thursday, March 19, and Friday, March 20, 2026, at the historic Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan.
This announcement follows the successful inauguration of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and the unveiling of strategic partnerships with the Yoruba Sports Broadcasters Association (YOSBA) and Mowoola earlier this year.
The preliminary rounds of the championship are scheduled for February 25–26, 2026, across the 10 zones of the state. Outstanding players selected from these zones will converge in Ibadan for the finals, where they will compete for glory and showcase their talents on a bigger stage.
Speaking on the significance of the program, LOC Chairman Hon. Babatunde Olaniyan emphasized that the Adamasingba Stadium event will serve as a platform to celebrate excellence, sportsmanship, and the future of youth sports in the state. Vice Chairman Chief Mutiu Adepoju added that the finals will highlight the importance of structured pathways for student-athletes to thrive both academically and athletically.
The Chairman of the Association, Mr. Temitope Obideyi, expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and partners for their unwavering support. He reiterated the call for increased sponsorship to ensure the sustainability of the initiative and to further strengthen grassroots sports development.
