AFCON winner, Brown Ideye and Joseph Atule scored one goal each as Enyimba defeated Nasarawa United 2-1 in a Nigeria Professional Football League, match in Aba on Wednesday.
The win comes three days after the Aba giants defeated Black Bulls of Mozambique in Uyo in a CAF Confederation Cup match.
Atule opened the scoring in the first half for the home team, while former Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye found the back of the net in the 61st minute, shortly after Nasarawa had equalised.
The goal sparked wild jubilation among the home fans, who celebrated Enyimba’s rediscovery of its goal-scoring form.
Enyimba recently appointed Coach Stanley Eguma after parting ways with Coach Yemi Olarenwaju.
