THE THREE POINTS IS ALL THAT MATTERS – CROWN FC BOSS AYODEJI AYENI

The Technical Adviser of Crown FC of Ogbomoso, Alexander Ayodeji Ayeni, was thrilled his side claimed a second victory of the Nigeria National League 2024/25 campaign in a tricky test at home to Dakkada FC.

The Ajilete Warriors secured the three points courtesy of Moses Ngbede’s second goal of the season; a strike Adekunle Mojeed will claim an assist for, after managing from a tight area.

A match played in warm conditions made for a tricky afternoon for both sets of players, and Ayodeji Ayeni has hailed his team’s tenacity in seeing out the result.

“It was really good,” Ayeni said. “Football has developed and every team is building up to contest for three points. The scoreline don’t really matter; the most important thing is the three points which we have just achieved.”

“50 percent of the problem has been solved, if you don’t create chances, there are no ways to score. Now that we’re creating scoring chances, we must continue to work harder to convert it.”

Ayeni also spoke on next away match to Nigeria Natoinal league debutant, Igbajo United FC on Sunday 19th January, 2025.

“We are always ready and prepared. Teams will definitely come out stronger because we have no small team in football. We’ve got to take it one game at a time. We can’t get ahead of ourselves.”

Speaking after winning the ‘Man of the Match’ award, Falolu Wasiu said:

“We’ve been on a good run at home. It is momentum. We’ve got to keep our confidence high and keep the three points coming. We want that winning feeling every game, and all the lads and all the coaches are delighted with the three points this evening. I will like to dedicate my award to the players, coaches and supporters of the club.”
