Enyimba technical adviser, Stanley Eguma, remains optimistic about his team’s chances of qualifying for the next round of the 2024/2025 CAF Confederation Cup. Despite a 1-1 draw with Al-Masry on Sunday, Eguma believes Enyimba can still advance in the competition.

The draw moved Enyimba to third position in Group D with five points, while Al-Masry have six points. Zamalek tops the group with 11 points, and Black Bulls are bottom with four points. Eguma emphasized that Enyimba’s fate is not sealed yet, and they can still turn things around.

Eguma pointed out that Al-Masry’s visit to Enyimba was a tough match, but his team can also go to Egypt and get a positive result. He expressed confidence that the outcome of the remaining games can still work in Enyimba’s favor.

The Enyimba coach concluded by saying, “It’s not over until it’s over.” He and his team will be looking to capitalize on any opportunities that come their way in the remaining matches to keep their hopes of advancing alive.
