The Kingdom of Morocco has been chosen to host the headquarters of the Africa Clubs Association (ACA), following a competitive bidding process. Morocco beat out South Africa and Algeria to secure the right to house the continental body.
The ACA board unanimously voted for Morocco after reviewing the bids and inspecting facilities in both Morocco and Algeria. Paul Bassey, ACA Vice President and Nigerian representative, confirmed the decision, citing Morocco’s excellent infrastructure and forward-thinking vision for football development.
The ACA headquarters will be based in Rabat, sharing office space with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and FIFA. This strategic location is seen as a significant advantage, given Morocco’s growing prominence in global football development.
ACA board members will travel to Morocco this weekend to officially sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and finalize the agreement. The visit coincides with the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations draw, providing an opportunity for ACA executives to engage with FIFA, CAF, and National Association officials on club-related matters.
