According to OyoSportsNews, the 2025 Oyo State Federation Cup is set to begin, with the final draw scheduled to take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Ibadan.
Seven registered football clubs will participate in the competition, including defending champions Ilaji Football Club, Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan, and Crown FC of Ogbomoso. Other participating teams include Oyomesi Football Club, Adeyemi Football Club, Zion-Liberty FC, and Oye Olohun Travels & Tours FC.
The final draw will be attended by representatives from the participating clubs, the Oyo State Referee Council, the Oyo State Football Coaches Association, and other major football stakeholders in the state. The chairman of the Oyo State Football Association, HRM Oba James Odeniran, and his executive members are also expected to be in attendance.
The competition will feature four teams from Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, as well as teams from Oyo, Ogbomoso, and Saki town. The exact dates, venues, guidelines, rules, and regulations for the competition will be communicated to teams’ representatives during the final draw.
As reported by OyoSportsNews, the secretary of the Oyo State Football Association, Mr. Kehinde Adebayo Ojelowo, confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made for the competition, and teams are eagerly awaiting the final draw to learn their path to the trophy.
