Iheanacho Ends Scoring Drought as Bursaspor Maintain Top Spot
Nigeria international Kelechi Iheanacho was on target as Bursaspor played out a 1–1 draw against Antalyaspor in their TFF 1. Lig encounter on Friday night.
The striker opened the scoring four minutes before the half-hour mark, giving Bursaspor the advantage after a difficult spell in front of goal. His effort ended a brief wait for another league goal following the end of his impressive scoring streak.
Iheanacho had previously scored in 12 consecutive league matches before the run was halted against Bandırmaspor last weekend. He has now registered 17 goals and four assists in 14 league appearances this season.
However, Antalyaspor restored parity before half-time through an own goal by Tural Bayramov. Neither side could find a winning goal after the break.
The result means Bursaspor remain top of the TFF 1. Lig standings with 37 points, maintaining their position despite dropping two points at home.
