Portugal: Ronaldo Rejects Plan for International Farewell Match
Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly has no intention of returning to play a farewell match for Portugal following his international retirement.
According to Portuguese outlet Observador, the forward may have made his final appearance for the national team.
The Portuguese Football Federation reportedly wants to organise a special tribute to honour the 41-year-old’s achievements.
However, Ronaldo is said to have no desire to return for one final appearance in a Portugal shirt.
A planned phone conversation involving Ronaldo, head coach Jorge Jesus and federation president Pedro Proença reportedly did not take place.
