The Ex-Ibadan Professional Footballers Association (EIPFA) has recorded a major milestone in its grassroots football development drive with the successful graduation of its sponsored coaches from the National Institute of Sports (NIS), Lagos.
The development marks a significant step in the association’s efforts to strengthen coaching capacity and improve football standards across Oyo State.
Chairman of the association, Ademola Obideyi, captured the moment in a Facebook post, stating, “My heart is full of joy to see our great coaches from Oyo State graduating today @ National Institute of Sport (NIS) Lagos. Powered by EIPFA.”
The association’s focus remains firmly on giving back to Oyo State through sustainable football development initiatives.
By investing in coach education, EIPFA is laying a strong technical foundation that will positively impact grassroots football, schools, local clubs, and youth teams across the state.
EIPFA has confirmed that the coaching sponsorship programme is the first in a series of planned development projects.
A statewide secondary school football Program, scheduled for 2026, is already in the pipeline and is expected to serve as a major talent discovery platform, aimed at identifying and nurturing future football stars while further deepening grassroots football development in Oyo State.
