Basketball excitement is back in Ibadan as the 2025 Propella 3×3 Basketball Tournament Tip off on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the Outdoor Basketball Court of the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba. Fans can expect a fast-paced, thrilling competition as teams battle for supremacy on the court.
This year’s tournament features 12 top teams, including Showtyme Hoopers, Rising Stars, Liberty Spears, Ollysan Basketball, The Polytechnic Ibadan, University of Ibadan, LAUTECH, OAU, Kwara State University, Beavers Basketball, Vision Basketball, and Ondo Raiders. The 2024 edition saw the University of Ibadan lift the trophy, defeating Beavers Basketball Club 21-17 in a gripping final. Hoop Dreams secured third place, showcasing the growing talent across the region.
Since its inception in 2019, the Propella 3×3 has crowned Rock Toppers (2019), Mama Gold (2020, 2021, 2023), Hoop Dreams Ambassador (2022), and University of Ibadan (2024). With the seventh edition title up for grabs, excitement is building as fans look forward to seeing new rivalries and emerging stars.
Organiser Mr. Babatunde Popoola, retired Director of the Oyo State Sports Council, continues his mission to develop basketball in the state, keep youths engaged, and nurture local talent. He invites everyone to come out, enjoy the games, and support the growth of basketball in Oyo State.
