After staging the Competition for two seasons, Ibadan Football Council (IFC) has unveiled a Logo for the annual Sherifat Kola-Daisi (SKODA) Women’s League.
At a solemn ceremony inside the Olubadan Stadium Hostel Hall, the Council’s Chairman, Mogaji Rotimi Alli declared that development of Women’s football occupied the top burner on the priority list of the soccer body.
He said the Competition had come to stay and would wax stronger and better even as he urged Club owners to consider investing more in female football as a business and also to engage the Girl-child meaningfully.
He thanked the designer of the Logo, Mr Olajide Harrison for his contributions to the Council’s programs.
The Logo and names of participating clubs have since been uploaded to the Sofascore account of Ibadan Football Council for global viewership.
Seven top teams are taking part in the third edition of the first Association organized Women’s grassroot Competition in Southwest Nigeria.
The teams include Sunlight Queens, Adewale Babes, Jogbin Femina, Dragon Fury Ladies, Apex Angels, Tee Talents Queens and Pacesetters FC.
It is worthy of note that the Council last year launched two sets of branded uniforms for Referees officiating in its Competitions.
Last month, the soccer body facilitated an FCAAN Course for 100 Coaches from across the State.
The Competition kicks off March 4, 2026 inside the main bowl of Olubadan Stadium.
