OSIMHEN SET FOR KNEE SURGERY, RULED OUT OF GALATASARAY CLASH

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is set to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery after sustaining an injury during Galatasaray’s recent UEFA Champions League match against VfB Stuttgart.

The Turkish champions confirmed that the forward suffered a strain in his left knee during the encounter.

Subsequent MRI examinations also detected a loose body in the joint, making surgery necessary.

The procedure is scheduled to take place at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital under the supervision of Galatasaray’s team doctor, Yener İnce.

Osimhen has consequently been ruled out of Saturday’s match against Amed S.F. as he begins treatment and recovery.

The club is expected to provide further details about his condition and possible return to action after the operation.

His absence represents a setback for Galatasaray as they continue their domestic and European campaigns, with attention now turning to his recovery.
